Book Review Submission Policy - Booktrospective Podcast

Are you an author or publisher with a book you'd like us to review on the Booktrospective Podcast? Keeley and Dominyse are currently accepting submissions for book reviews! Here’s what you need to know about the process:

What Does a Review from Us Entail?

If your book is selected for review, it will be featured on an upcoming episode of the Booktrospective Podcast. In addition to the podcast review, we’ll also provide:

• A "spoiler" promotion via the Booktrospective TikTok account.

• A written review by Keeley on Goodreads and/or StoryGraph.

Our goal is to provide a thoughtful and engaging review for your book, while sharing it with our audience of avid readers and book lovers.

Submission Requirements

We welcome submissions from authors and publishers of all genres, but we do have a few guidelines to ensure a smooth process:

1. Format: We accept submissions in both physical, digital, and audio formats. Please send your book in the format that is most convenient for you.

2. Review Process: We read a wide variety of genres, so we're open to exploring many different types of books, but we do prioritize:

• Fiction (all genres, including YA, adult, fantasy, thriller, literary, etc.)

• Diversity in authorship and themes, including books by underrepresented voices.

3. Submission Does Not Guarantee Review: While we review all submissions, we cannot guarantee that every book will be selected for review. We choose books based on our podcast's content, themes, and our interest in the material.

4. No Fees: Please note that we do not charge any fees for submitting books to be reviewed. This is a free submission process.

5. Timeliness: If your book is selected, please be aware that reviews will be published at a later date, depending on scheduling and podcast timelines. We aim to provide thoughtful reviews, which may take time.

How to Submit

To submit your book for consideration, please complete the form through this link [https://forms.gle/4G4M3QGe4edpgUCV7] with the following information:

• Book Title and Author

• Brief Synopsis (150-300 words)

• Page Count

• Publishing type

• Link to your book (if available, e.g., Goodreads, Amazon, website, etc.)

• Preferred format (physical or digital)

Please Note

• We reserve the right to decline submissions that do not meet our content preferences or that we are unable to review at this time.

• We strive to be transparent and fair in our reviews, and all opinions expressed will be honest and unbiased.

• While we always strive to finish every book we review, there may be instances where a book doesn't resonate with us, and we are unable to complete it. Please note that although we prefer not to DNF (did not finish) a book, if your book is selected, there is a possibility that we may not be able to finish it for various reasons. If that happens, we will be transparent about it and communicate openly with you.
